We have been contracted by Sport Wales to carry out the data collection for the Free Swimming Initiative (FSI). It involves a data collection every two months where data is collected from local authorities by pool, age band, gender and type of swim.
We have been involved in the data collection for over four years and publish the data regularly on our dissemination site, "GWION".
We produce written data reports which summarise the FSI data with tables, maps, graphs and charts. These reports can be found under the publications section of our website.
With recent changes to the FSI, we have also been contracted to collect data on non-aquatic activities by centre and the average number of hours offered during the year.
Here you can see the specific schedule.
A Census of population is undertaken every 10 years and provides the only comprehensive set of statistics for small geographical areas in the UK. Here you'll find information relating to census data.
A number of look-up tables have been prepared by various organisations to understand the different geographical areas and how they relate to other geographies. Information on geography look-up tables can be found here.
This is our release schedule which indicates the timetable for disseminating data through our website.
GWION provides access to some of the data we collect, including national performance data and data for the Free Swimming initiative.
