Dwelling stock estimates data (2016-17)

The data for 2016-17 for dwelling stock estimates is now available following a release by the Welsh Government. 

Please note that the data for 2015-16 has also been revised. 

Population estimates - revisions

On 22 March 2018 the Office for National Statistics (ONS) published revisions to the mid year population estimates (local authority level). 

The revisions cover the estimates from 2012 to 2016 and use a revised methodology to improve the estimates. For more information see ONS’ methodology update

Local authority population estimates have now been updated. The population estimates for 2017 will be released in June 2018 and will use the new methodology. ONS plan to publish revised small area population estimates (lower super output area level) in Autumn 2018.

Pupil destinations (2017)

The latest data for pupil destinations (NEETs (known not to be in employment, full time education or work based training for young people) 2017 is now available following a release by Careers Wales.

Annual Population Survey data (2017) - ethnicity

The 2017 datasets for ethnicity are now available following a recent update from the Annual Population Survey. 

Please note that the data for 2015 and 2016 has also been revised.

Average house prices (February 2018)

The data for February 2018 for average house prices is now available following a release by the Land Registry.

Job Seeker's Allowance claimant count (March 2018)

The latest (March 2018) Job Seeker’s Allowance claimant count is now available following a release by the Office for National Statistics.

Child measurement programme data AY 2016-17

The child measurement programme data has been updated for AY 2016-17 following a release by Public Health Wales. 

The data includes the findings from the measurements of children in reception year aged four to five during the academic year. 
• % of boys aged 4-5 who are overweight or obese 
• % of girls aged 4-5 who are overweight or obese 
• % of children aged 4-5 who are overweight or obese 

The data shows that in 2016-17, 27.0% of children in Wales were overweight or obese, compared with 26.2% in 2015-16. 

Employment status (April 2018 release)

The latest (January 2017 – December 2017) employment status estimates are now available following a recent update of the Annual Population Survey. 

The next update will be available in July 2018.
